Springtime is really turning out to be fun...the ice has melted off the pond, and the snow has left behind some surprises...a shrew has taken up residence, a muskrat moved in. And I've discovered that scraping paint can be strangely satisfying. #
Although I've been working in the business for 7 or 8 years, I still get a thrill every time I have the opportunity to work when Muppets are on...I love watching how the "Muppets people" handle the characters, how they perform, how they interact with the crew in character. It's one of the few times when I'm sort of agog getting the access we have. #
Now that I've finally kicked the month-or-so-long bout of insomnia I was enduring, I don't know what I prefer...not sleeping but reading a book a night and justifying all the books I buy, or getting decent sleep every night and slowly working through one novel for more than a month while an ever-growing swaying, teetering pile of books metasticizes into the entirety of my nighttable.

It's amazing that my back can hurt worse when I'm running the lighting board than when I'm doing work like lifting and moving scenery. And even moreso that the talk on this show hurts more than either.... #
I can't help but feel like a cowboy every night as I herd the ducks from the pond to the barn. Having seen so much death and destruction over the past few weeks, they seem much more eager to go than they were during the summer. #
